Wow - last week we sold our 100,000th pair of wide calf wellies!!! 

When we took over this small business 9 years ago, my wife Nathalie and I could only dream of finding 100,000 people who needed our boots. While we knew there was a need for wide calf wellies after our personal experiences with friends and family, we were certainly not sure how many people would trust a small company such as ours to keep their feet dry.

We started with just one pair of extra wide fit boots (our beloved polka dot wellies), and after talking to you constantly over these past 9 years, we have been able to expand confidently knowing that our customers have asked for them. Since those days, we have launched our wide calf boots, half height boots, ankle boots and most recently our standard foot width boots. All of them have been so well received that we now have at least 5 designs in each (more will be coming soon in the standard foot width version).

However, we have always been happy to stay as a small and accessible company. We still only have 3 members of staff, so when you do call or email us, it will be Nina, Jo or myself who will help you. We are in the same office and warehouse that we have always had. Many companies outsource their shipping and returns, but we find that is the best way to understand what our customers need. From your feedback, we have created the standard foot width boots, adapted the clip shut buckles to pull tight buckles on the extra wide boots, designed the hard wearing extra wide fit boots and adapted our insoles and soles to make them more comfortable and durable.

My personal favourite time is also when we ask our Facebook friends to vote for new designs. From floral designs to dandelions, raindrops, knots and glossy colours, you have always chosen well, and often not the ones we might expect. Over the next ten years as we aim for the skies, please do keep talking to us and telling us what women like you need. We are continuing to expand so if you have a footwear or clothing item that you can't find, do tell us as we might be able to bring it into our range - it is the huge benefit of being small.

We are really proud of how we have now helped over 100,000 people explore our beautiful countryside in wellies again. So many people tell us that they had not found a pair to fit them since they were young, and that always brings a smile to our face. Please do continue to tell us what you get up to in your wellies - life certainly needs as much positivity as we can find currently.
