How much does delivery cost in the UK?

Unlike many other on-line retailers that have rules and small print, we’re delighted to be able to provide FREE DELIVERY on all our products to all UK domestic locations. 

 - There are no minimum order sizes or exceptions

ROI, France, Germany & Netherlands from £19.99

Italy, Austria & Spain from £24.99

RoW from £39.99 (for US residents, you can now save shipping costs, as our extra wide fit wellies are available on www.jileonrainboots.com with stock in the US)

Unfortunately post Brexit, we are now unable to ship to other EU countries apart from the above 7, due to problems with VAT and duties for our couriers. We are really sorry about this. 

We do deduct VAT at source for you, so when you are charged in your own country, you have only paid once

Are there any extra charges for shipments to the EU?

Unfortunately due to Brexit, you will now be charged some local duties and taxes in your country based on local rates on top of the product cost. You will be contacted directly by your local customs authority to pay this before they will be delivered.

We understand this is not ideal but we are a UK based company and this is now mandatory. We believe the fees are your VAT rate plus a £5 admin fee currently. We have deducted any UK VAT from your order already so you are not paying twice.

Please be aware that if you do refuse to pay the customs fees, the boots will be sent back to us, and as we are still charged for the shipping costs plus the return costs, we will have to deduct £20 from any refund to cover this.

How long does delivery take?

Being free doesn’t mean it should take a long time. But, delivery times do vary and depend on both the value of the boot that you’re buying and your location

- All orders over £60 to mainland UK - free next working day delivery* service if you place your order by 12:00 p.m.

- All orders over £60 to Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland plus Highlands and Islands are sent out free of charge on Royal Mail Tracked 48 service

- All orders under £60 are sent free via Royal Mail and take 2-7 working days 

 *In the event of flooding, other extreme weather conditions and road closures, next day delivery is not always achievable. 

Can boots worth less than £60 be delivered faster?

Of course!  However, there is an additional charge of £3.99 for this service. 

Can I pick my order up?

Just because we’re on-line doesn’t mean you can’t come and visit us. We know how tricky it is to get the right size boot, so we’re happy if you want to try our boots before you buy them or if you want to “click and collect”. 

Our postcode is RG17 7LX but, please call us before you visit.  Our opening times are 10:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday only.

How will I know when my order will be delivered?

Assuming you’ve given us a correct mobile or e-mail address, DPD Local will contact you with a one hour delivery window.  If this doesn’t suit you, you have the option to ask for the delivery to be left with a neighbour, in a safe place or to arrange a more suitable time. Their service means that there’s no more waiting around for a delivery between 8am and 6pm.

If you miss the courier, a calling card will be left saying that no one was home. There’s a phone number for you to ring and arrange a more convenient time. The below video is a great summary of how the service works.

We do recommend downloading the DPD Local app to your phone, as this makes communication on your delivery far simpler.

Any Royal Mail orders will be delivered with your usual postal deliveries, but do not have any guaranteed delivery times.

What do I do if my items haven't arrived?

Please allow up to 7 working days for items shipped using Royal Mail.  After this time, please contact your local sorting office as they may have tried to deliver whilst you were out and not left a card (it does happen). If they don’t have your parcel, please contact us directly and we’ll see what we can do.

For items shipped via DPD Local, allow 2 working days before making contact.  You can either contact DPD Local directly or us to trace missing parcels. 

What happens if I reject the delivery?

If you do change your mind after the boots have shipped, we can no longer cancel the order. If you reject the delivery, we do have to charge for the delivery cost plus a 20% restocking fee.

What is the environmental impact of your shipments?

We are proud to work with DPD, who are committed to making every shipment carbon neutral. The packaging we use is made from 80% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable, and they also offer click and collect services to limit the environmental impact.

Our larger boots are sent in a reusable drawstring bag that you can keep and comes in very handy. 

Can I Click and Collect?

Yes you can for shipments sent through DPD. Please download their app and then when they email or text you about the delivery, you can choose to have it delivered to a local shop for you to pick up at your convenience.

This is the most environmentally friendly delivery service as hopefully you can pick them up at the same time as doing other chores in the area.
